My son visited me from NYC.

I posted a while back that after 4 1/2 yrs without a car in NYC, that he had bought a nice 04 GT Mustang with a stick.

He then installed a new Steeda shifter. Those Ford manual transmissions shift like crap, but after the new shifter, it shifts smooth and positive.

Then just before Thanksgiving he put the car in the shop at Real Speed Automotive in NYC for subframe connectors, long tube headers with a new flowmaster exhaust, and 4.10 gears. Then, he installed a larger BBK throttle body and had it dynotuned at 245 rwhp.

Then he bought a new suspension for us to install at Christmas.

On the rear, we installed new upper and lower control arms, shocks, springs, and added a second adjustable sway bar.

On the front we installed new struts, springs, sway bar, strut top plates for more adjustability, and removed the a-arms and took them to a shop for polyurethane bushings installation and reinstalled them. Oh, we also installed a new lip on the bottom of the front valance.
The whole thing took about 3 long days because we had a few unanticipated problems as you can always expect when you don't do this for a living. We planned to install the strut tower brace, but it didn't fit quite right, so he decided not to install it.

It was hard work, but he got the results he wanted. It really handles now, and runs pretty darn strong.

Of course my wife got po-ed because of all the time I was spending under my son's car instead of taking her someplace fun! (She's wife #2, not my son's mother, and 17 yrs. younger than me)

Now, he wants a Vortech blower!!
