Gentlemen--

I'm in the market to purchase a replacement subwoofer for my 1997 Lincoln Town Car. I would greatly appreciate it someone might refer me to a vendor and/or a source where I can purchase one that's new or in good shape. Once in hand, I will find someone to install it for me. Thanks so much.

RE: Need a replacement subwoofer

What's wrong with the Subwoofer? I'm not familliar with the configuration in this particular car, so all I can give you is an educatd guess here..

Is it working at all? or just making "bad noises?" If the speaker is simply blown, it may be a standard size. you might be able to take it apart to see. (or find a handy friend to take it apart for you...) and replace it with one of similar impedance from a local electronics store. Hopefully it's marked on the back. Look for a number.. often 4 or 8 ohm. indicated by the Omega symbol. If it's not working at all, it could be as simple as a loose wire, or a problem with the amplifier.. Although I'd guess that's not too likely.

Good Luck.
