Need New pads

I know everybody has an opinion, but does there seem to be a brand or type of front pads people like more than others? I just ordered a set of those brembo rotors from tire rack to replace my warped ones and need to replace the pads as well.

RE: Need New pads

i use the ceramic pads from NAPA. i definitely recommend the ceramic pads, if you drive hard. are the brembo rotors the stock size, or are you getting a complete brake kit?

RE: Need New pads

Get a set of PBR dual piston calipers from a Mustang GT or Mach 1 to complement these Brembo brakes.

RE: Need New pads

One item most people don't know is that cermic pads have some of the worst stopping capability of all pads. Their friction is just too low. Of course that is why they are also so quiet and make no dust. If that's okay with you, then get them.

For performance, carbon-metallic pads seem to work best on our cars. They will generate dust, however they stop hard, and do not fade easily. Autozone sells a highly rated brand. Just make sure you get the $50 pads and not the $20 pads.

RE: Need New pads

the brembo rotors are just are stock size, plus they're pretty cheap. about $40, but I figure you can't argue with brembo quality. I'll definately look into those NAPA pads, though logres' comment about their stopping ability concerns me a little, but I'm not doing autocross in this, at the moment anyway. I like the low dust & noise factors, so it sounds like the ceramic pads are winners. thanks,
Cameron
