Hi folks

Im in Tucson and recently aquired a 98 Mark VII.
Short version of the story, I got my mom a 87 Mark VII
about 5 yrs ago, it was getting worn out so March of
this yr I bought my mom a 1998 Mark VIII, black on tan.
She fell more in love with this car then you can imagine.
Shortly after we got it the trans went out (at 97k)
So after about 3 weeks we got a nice rebuilt unit installed
for her.
She then took about a 3500 mile road trip from Az to OH,
then to SC and back home again.
Sadly as it is, a month later my 66 yr old mom passed away
unexpectedly in her sleep on Aug 1. ;(
She loved her and cared for her car like it deserved
thats for sure.
I since inherited the car, and its actually sat in her
carport since this all took place. Just yesterday I decided
to bring it home for a few days to put a few miles on it.
Its been very hard to say the least. I still feel her riding
next to me when Im in it.
Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself and say hi.
Chances are Ill be checking out the site from time to time.
I have several other cars and belong to a few other sites.
Also I have a performance car shop here in town that is my
daily drive. Motorsportwarhouse.com
I may do a few mods to this car, not sure yet. I havent
really researched it much. Its not a common car we get run
thru my shop as you can imagine. But Im thinking of maybe
a programmer or chip if I can find a decent one, and figure out
what the Lowering Sensor Kit is would be cool. That and a set
of rims probably too.
It wont be my quickest car in the garage, but it will be one
of my most honored cars :D
Any tips you can offer for the chip or lowering mod would
be great. Ill search the site some too.

thanks
Dayle

RE: New Az member here

hi, thanks
after searching for the last hour, I came up
with the same links :) thanks.

Guess with mine being a 98, Ill have to narrow
down which chip style to go after. They seem to
really know their stuff. I was just at SEMA and
talked alot just to the SCTs booth, they had the
twin turbo GT40 there.

thanks again folks :)

Hi! My condolences to you on your mother's passing.

I have a 98 also, and I got my chip from Lonnie at Blue Oval Chips and I love it. My car is sensor lowered too - which I like how it looks, and it seems to handle better, but it is a slightly harsher ride now.

Good luck with the car.
