ahh. the ol 5-0.... brings back memories....... basicly you can do whatever a fast ford mag offers... mild 2 wild.... just put some $ aside for the heater core... its a p.i.a. to swap. i pulled the whole dash out to do it and it wasnt fun at all... i suggest a shiftkit, c.a.i. and a cat back set of pipes... listen to soundclips of any 5.0 mustang 2 get a feel of what u want it to sound like... stay away from flowmaster unless u like the hum at 2000 rpm's that will give you a bitchin headache after 15 minutes...

+1 for the heatercore! I had to do my Notch (mustang lingo for Coupe, hehe) twice in one month! The first one I got (from AUTOZONE) almost exploded. It was leaking after about a week and when I took it out, it was all buldged out like a ball, crazy!

My second time around I just pulled out the right side just enough to get the box out of the bottom. Cut the R&R time in half!

those pics are exactly what im talkin about.... i helped a friend do his in a 89 gt and for some crazy reason he decided to rest the drop light on the windshield where the wiper blade is... since it was mid feb, and pretty cold, the heat cracked the glass and instead of a saturday cheap fix by doing it in the driveway, it cost him a windshield too.... needless to say, he was pretty pissed off.....

i wish i could go back to when i had my 88 5.0.... all the $ i spent on upgrades and stereo junk was such a waste... as everyone knows, you never get what you put n2 a car when it comes time to sell... i guess it was better than getting n2 trouble but it did put a drain on the pocket.... i think the longest ive ever kept a car was 3 years.. just enuff time to get it the way i liked it and than see something better and loose interest in what i had... thats the downfall of being a car guy... oh well, cant cry over spilled milk now... just learn from your mistakes and keep what ya got.... its a hell of alot cheaper..

Yep, the downfall of being a car guy is right, unless some jerk off decides to steal your baby....

ouch!!! that sucks... been thru it b4... not on nothin like that but still, its always a mo fo who's jealous of your ride. i had a beater chevy 3/4 ton chevy panel van.. nothin great... they stole it to jack a busa from a guy who lived 2 blocks away... i had the windows blacked out on the drvr and pass side plus the 2 on the barn doors... 2 people saw it leave the area but thought it was me b/c the windows were up. go figure... never found my van or the bike... somebody had some brass balls that night... had to b someone local that was plot'n on the bike.. unreal...

btw, ever find out who swip'd it? id be lookin for that cowl hood... pocket knife in hand cause ya know they repainted it... somethin that tall would defintely stick out... hope u had it insured for what it was.......

Liability. :( It was only "done" (paint/rims) for about 2 weeks so I was still in the process of getting better insurance. Never found the guys, nor did I ever see the hood. I modified the hood as well so I'd know if I saw it.

My car was VERY popular as it was one of a kind (like the Shark), so popular that my buddy that was in prison said a lot of the guys there knew about it. Haha, no wonder it got jacked.

thanks guys,

i got a 85 mustang with a 302/c4 combo in it aswell. that car goes 10.80 but i wanted to make the lincoln go somewhere in the 12s just for dd purposes.
