We recently purchased a 1998 CE, Cordovan with Tan interior with about 68K miles. What a very nice ride as the car just glides down the highway. Sweet.

Neon light is now nonfunctional. Purchased a ballast and hope that will fix that problem. Have Octastar wheels to replace chrome 10 spooks. The Octastars have some chrome bubbles from corrosion. Anyone have a home remedy? Planning on switching out HIDs for Halogans so I won't get stuck somewhere without lights. Need to have bumpers repainted and some other minor dents removed.

Great forum and everyone seems helpful.

You will regret the halogens. Not enough light, and halogen housings last a year or two before needing to be replaced again.

I'm sure a dozen other folks will chime in real quick on that one.

I am going to keep the HID's and see if the Halogan work. May try to use a relay to power the Halogen's. As anyone tried to use a relay? I saw it in one message on a board. The Halogen's need as much power as possible. I'm running H4's 55/60 in another vehicle and the lights are great. Will see how it works.

Welcome! :)

Research HIR bulbs if you're going to halogen. Yes, relays are worth it.

You should use 9005 HIDs from fleabay. They have 2x the light output and 4x the life span of a HIR. A set of 9005 is down to $60-70 with ballasts now.
