Went to US41 dragway for test and tune today and run my best time: 11.32@120.64 mph.
I will post time slip and Video tomorrow but here is just how the run looked.
60 ft - 1.61
1/8 ET- 7.21
1/8 mph- 94.57
1000' Et- 9.45
1/4 ET- 11.32
1/4 mph- 120.64

My 1/4 mph is lower than it should be because we had strong head wind and the weather was not so good either.

Do you have a roll bar? If not, do you need one there and at what ET?

You need one if you are going under 11 seconds at most tracks.

Nice run, 2nd run reaction time was excellent for a footbrake car.

In your video you really cook the drag radials, do they need to get that hot to work?

I thought this was the NHRA regulation.

I don't have a roll bar and I don't plan to put one in soon as with roll bar the car looks more like a Drag car than street car.
I launch my car from idle no footbrake so I think my reaction times are good.Next time I go to race track I will try to footbrake the car and see if the reaction time and 60' improve.
I don't know if drag radials need to get that hot to hook but I just like Burning rubber.

I have that same problem! :D

Congrats on the great times. The tracks around here will eject you for a 11.49 or faster without a roll bar/cage.

Ahh I see, well we all like to burn rubber so I understand.

Foot brake launches will improve your reaction time and hopefully make it more consistant also. If the tires hold you will gain .05 in 60ft and about a tenth in ET.

I bet you get alot of people amazed at US41 with that car. I used to run there back when it first opened with my dragbike. Always liked it, lots of shutdown.

Man that TB SS was in deep 12s... that is pretty impressive.

Then again a Mark VIII looking as stock as yours running 11s is very impressive also haha :)

Thanks guys for good comments.
I am trying to go to race track one more time this year on a cooler weather and see if she can do any better than this.

Time to hit it with a small nitrous shot and get it into the 10's... shouldn't be a problem with your built shortblock... yeeee!

I have new wet nitrous kit sitting in my garage but I don't plan to install it soon as it would be too easy to run 10's with nitrous. My next goal is to hit 10's with the little s trim I have and with out going to smaller pulley. I will install AFM power pipe,Bigger fuel pump(As my car is running out of fuel above 6700 rpm) and I will retune the car soon and I should gain few tenths in 1/4 mile.
