oil leak plz help

Hi guys.. I have a 2004 ls with 25,795 miles on it and this morning when i moved my car a bit down the drive way i noticed a oil spot.. from what i can tell it looks like the oil is only dripping when the car is turned on, and i crawled under the car to see what i can, and the oil is leaking from the oil fliter, well from the part just to the left of it.. the part the oil fliter connects too.. any reason why i'm having this leak ? I am running sythentic oil if that helps any.. (can't spell)

would a oil change help ?
 
It's not unusual for oil leaks to occur after changing to synthetic - sometimes they heal on their own, sometimes not.
 
when you (or whoever) changed your filter, they prob left in an "o" ring and then installed the new "o" ring on top of it! Pull the filter off and check for 2 "o" rings.

Not an "O" ring, but a seal. See if the old one stayed on.....

It was coming from #7 area, between 7 and 9 but lucky for me.. it was just a loose fliter.. changed the oil ( was over due) and fliter .. problem sloved !!
