Perry White's Mark VIII

I was watching old episodes of Lois and Clark and found one that showed newspaper editor, Perry White's garage. He invited Jimmy to his house to work on his green car -- the shifter wasn't working. Before working on the car, Perry showed off an old restored 1932 Ford that sat next to the modern car. The episode was Season Two, "That Old Gang of Mine." It is about a bumbling scientist who uses cloning technology to bring back Bonnie and Clyde, Al Capone and a few others.

It seems that the car belonged to Clyde and he came around to get it. He ties and lock up Jimmy and Perry in the green car. He starts it and closes the garage. Of course, the special effect department made the exhaust visible.

So here we are, the garage is filing up with CO, the door is down and the guys are feeling the affect of the gas. Jimmy see's the remote garage door control on the visor and tries to hit the open/close button with his head. No-joy. With his trashing around, trying to hit the button on the remote, he "fixes the shifter"and bumps it into reverse. He stomps the accelerator and goes WOT.

As the car burst backwards from the garage, though the balsa wood door, you finally see the distinctive tire hump of a Mark. Luckily, the Mark, Jimmy and Perry survive.

Ahh Drama!
