I've just got a quick question, wondered if anyone had any ideas or suggestions.
I had this problem on my 92 Cougar as well as my current 91 Conti. There are 2 brackets that hold the windows to the slider track on the inside of the door, one in the front, as in towards the hinge, and one in the back, as in towards the latch side of the door.
Now on both of these cars, I'm guessing just due to age, and stress of pulling the window down without the tracks having proper lubrication(also a condition of age), that the window gets pulled out of the bracket in the rear, causing the back of the window to stay up while the front of the window gets pulled down.
I've tried many things, epoxy, gel, the adhesive you use for affixing rearview mirrors(almost worked, didn't quite set and got bumped, might try again).
What I'm looking for is any other ideas or possible solutions to the problem, cause I'm sick of having to push down on the back of my window everytime I want to roll it down.
