Pro's and Con's

Im looking to buy a 2000 Lincoln LS. Other than reading the BS consumer reports about them, Id like to hear some everyday drivers input on the LS series.
 
depends on whether you want the V6 or V8.

They both have similar suspension issues...

The V6 has a super expensive hydrolic fan setup that tends to fail.

The V8 has some issues with coil packs and leaking valve covers.

I think they are fairly solid cars beyond that.
 
try to get the 2nd gen model, many many updates that fixed some problems with the 1st gens. i have a 2004 v8 and i simply love it to death. beats the old mark in just about every way.
 
I love my lincoln ls but I would have to say it was my worst investment ever, keeps giving me check engine lights, bad coils, people keep breaking into. And I kind of thought it was only my until I started talking to more people in my neighborhood that have the same car which mine is ls v6 2003, and everyone complains about overheating, tranny problems. If I was going to buy a car today I would def not pick the lincoln LS but thats up to u. I love the car though
