radio acting funny

My 93 has the factory radio, when I touch the volume button I hear this loud "pop" in the speakers. Then the passenger side stops playing unless I turn it up wide open. any thoughts?

My 93 does the same thing, don't know what's causing it though so I don't really have a fix. However, I did notice that if I set all tone controls (bass, trebble, balance, fade) to neutral position. All speakers will play without having to turn the volume way up, but it'll still pop when I change volume. Give a shot and see if that might work on your radio. I hope someone can give a fix for this problem as I'd like to know too.

I found a place here in Memphis that is supposed to be able to fix them. I will keep you up to date, because I know how annoying it can be.

I had the same thing happen just before my amplifier went bad.Usually it will drop one side or the other occasionally also.Go ahead and upgrade your system before it dies on a road trip.
