rain in the forecast

Loos like there is a chance of rain in carlisle. If you have tarps, string, or spring clamps bring them so we can turn the canopy into a walled tent if needed. I will bring a large plastic tarp. We did this last year (or the year before) but we were poorly equipped.

Good thinking. I'll hit up the camping supplies before departure, and grab my BWCA tarp, and my bear-bag rope.

There's always a chance of rain at Carlisle.

I have a big tarp and ties that I'll bring. It used to be a roof for the 12 x 12 kennel, so it should be a good side wall.

A good storm came in Friday afternoon but other than that we have been lucky. A lot of people left early Sunday fearing the storm probability but we were blessed and only got a sprinkle with strong winds.

We drove through about an hour of driving rain Friday evening. When we arrived, it stopped raining, we set up our tents, then it started raining and storming again.

We chose to seek shelter in the Mark VIII and keep an eye on the tents. Luckily, we were able to survive by drinking what we had, beer.:D

The lightning was a great lightshow, and the rain stopped when we were done drinking beer.:)

The cable at the hotel went out and I missed part of the Hawks game.

Driving in Thursday was a nightmare.
