rear diff

Got a noise coming from the rear drivers side of the car only when I make right turns at speeds over 10 mph or higher. I just had a new bearing installed on that side and took the tire off and it's still tight with no play. When I turn the rear wheels (both off the ground) every turn I hear some noise. Sounds like in the rear diff. I notice there is a leak on it. Been there for awhile. maybe time to take it apart and to do a service oil change? It sounds like a piece of metal clicking every turn of the wheel bearing. not the tire its self. tire is not scraping at all.

From the sounds of it, it's too late to change/add fluid....sounds to me like a new/used pumpkin.... only a disassemble will tell..... what's the mileage?

It should have been changed at 100k (the fluid in the differential).... do you know if it was?
no it was not. I got the car at 84k.

Guess I will take it apart today and clean it out and fill it up with new fluid and see if it sounds better or the noise goes away. If it doesn't then I will have to look into a new diff.

Had somone else take it for a drive and he said the rear Break/wheel/hub Bearing work that I had done less than 3 months ago may have crapped out, there is no play in the bearing that I can tell by moving the wheel by hand and I did take the wheel off and the break caliper and tried to move the wheel hub and there is no play, it's tight as a frogs ass.. I wonder if this part has gone south Rockauto part ACDELCO Part # S301 was the part that I had pressed for this work.

Or should I replace this part from Rockauto? CARDONE Part # 602125.
A whole new half/Shaft from the Rear Differental to the wheel. saw this one on Rockauto for about 71 bucks after a 20.00 core.

Im going to take the rear Diff apart and clean it out and put new oil in there this friday. I can live with the noise for now.
