Ok... well, the rear shock mounts are shot to hell after only 5k miles ????!!! I'm pissed as hell since i thought that the noise from the rear was something else and i didn't bother to check the mounts since i knew that they were new. Also my sway bar broke off a bracket (same side the shock mount is broken) yesterday, so now I am looking for a replacement. Is there something wrong that i am overlooking or should i get a different type of shock since maybe the sensatracs are destroying the shock mounts. But i haven't heard of anyone else having the same problem.

if you bought it from a ford dealer like Max or something it carries a 1 year warantee. That happened to mine I just paid for shipping an dI got a new one. Still shouldn't happen.....x(

Yes - I have Bilsteins in back and my rear mounts (new ) were toast at 20K miles later!!! For now my soultion was new OEM style mounts at $32 per side

I bought them from fords part network, do they carry a warranty?

Samething happened when i had Bilsteins on my mark with Ford replacement mounts. I ordered mounts from Arrott and didn't have a problem with them.

Ok, so I'm curious as to what kind of a noise you guys get when this happens? I'm starting to thing that is what is making noise in my car.....sounds like I'm pulling a boat trailer when I go over bumps....

It sounds like a very large metal ball is rolling around your trunk and hitting the insides of the car every time you hit a bump.

Ok, that must be my problem though. I guess I got so used to pulling a boat every few days that it sounds to me like a boat trailer loading/unloading from the reciever going down a gravel road....

Sounds like I'll be ordering the kit from Arnott.

No they did not. I have not heard back from them yet. I am not about go chase them down for a $30 part. But I was not happy to see the part go that early.

They did feel greasy. It has something to do with the material the shock mounts are made out of. I did not overtighten anything.

Sounds good since i actually went through the trouble of sending my old part back for "examination" about a month ago, have not heard back yet. I had dealings with max as well and I was very happy with him.
