Rear Shocks Completed

Just installed the Monroe 5965 & new shock mounts. Real easy job.
Spent more time reading about it, than it took to install.
One thing, had to use the original top washer, the washer with the Monroe's does not fit. The hole size in the body was 1.600, both washers were 1.700 & 1.750. Stock washer (old) is 1.500.

Next up;
blend door ( should I do it myself? )
compressor
ball joints, upper & lower, passenger side
neon tail

RE: Rear Shocks Completed

hey, sorry to hijack your thread, but is it possible to replace the rear air ride suspension with traditional shocks, and leave the front air ride system alone?

if u could point me to the right direction, sorry, i jsut picked up this car monday, and i've done a tranny line and a few minor stuff in the rear. was just about to do my oil pan, but i need to address my rear shocks soon.

thanks

Paul

Blend door is a pain, but can be done if you follow the posted club instructions. Set aside an afternoon at least. Hope you have a warm place this time of year to do it. Definitely will take you a six pack... if you measure by beer...

RE: Rear Shocks Completed

I just did my blend door. If you consider yourself to have average mechanical ability and can follow instructions, by all means do it yourself. The instructions from Alexander are awesome. Take your time anf follow them exactly. I fretted over this job for months for no good reason. Its a little tetius but relatively easy as far as difficulty. Without the instructions it would have taken me a day or 2 but with them, only 2.5 hours, I was in a hurry though and was working in overdrive. The beer had to wait until after :D
