we've got the 70 Camaro working pretty well now. It clicked off it's quickest pass of a 9.259 ET...It has more in it as the MPH shows since it's already been 146.98 mph...but wednesday night there was a slight head wind at the top end, thus robbing 3-4 mph...

at the next weekend race, with a prepped track, and no wind, we're shooting for 9.teens.

the car has the new Toyo drag slicks...they work amazingly well on this car.

enjoy:

props to Scott for filming...we caught the quickest pass to date...on film/video...thanks to Scott.

Please forgive the camera man's filthy language at the very end of the last video...he was a bit excited. and to answer the question...the reason he ran a 9.33 on a 9.26 is because he had a .006 reaction time, caught the guy and lifted to avoid a break out. The time slip incrementals showed the car would have run about a 9.265...right on the money anyway.

and the motor revs at the end...Tommy gets a little excited and "pipes" the crowd when he wins..which I think is hilarious since there is NO CROWD!.

he's won 4 out of the last 5 events...most people race their whole life and hope to win a couple...his round record is 16 round wins, and only 1 round loss(new slicks, car was off).

and that's that.

BTW...1st video is a time run
the next 4 videos are elims...anyone notice a common occurance in the first 4 rounds of elims besides the massive wheel stands?

I'll give you a hint...

it isnt green

God i love that car...

Reminds me of the 455 bigblock i used to have in the TA. There is no replacement for displacement...lol Thanks for sharing the vids. Also howcome theres no green on the tree when it goes down? I was trying to see when he left the beams and it never goes on right after staging lights go out. When his opponent redlights in the left lane.

haha Lov those vids.

haha Lov those vids.

Jesus i love watching that car launch. That has got to feel awesome behind the wheel. How in the heck do you see the track, and stay in/on the gas? I'd be afraid of launching onto the other guys lane when it was up in air and couldnt see for those seconds... Dangggggg.:D
