Remote start with panic button?

We all know the panic button on our keyless entry is worthless. Have you ever used it on purpose? Damn horn... Anyways, Attention electrical whiz kids! I am installing a remote start, can I somehow use that button to activate my remote start? I would rather have one less thing on my key chain.

I would think probably not. Not just because of frequency differences but also there would then be no provision for an "off" button.

The way it works now is either with the remote it came with, or if I press the lock button three times on the factory remote it will start. The instruction manual shows no way to turn it off with the factory remote, just the one it came with.
