Removing your Air Silencers/Custom Cold Air Intake

I purchased a Cobra heat shield and with a little bending (in boiling water) i made it fit.

I got mine shielded with some AL sheet metal than added insulation later on. IMHO i don't think it was worth the money and effort over the stock box unless you are going to go FI.

I have general idea. I was going to do it today but last night when removing the air silencer I kept making the alarm go off so I unplugged it. THen this morning I hooked it back up and went to get it smogged but the O2 sensor's didn't have the right reading and it kept failing because the stupid computer. They told me to drive it through one tank of gas before I tried to come back. This really sucked.

Sounds like you disturbed the MAF........

Make sure every connector is put back on correctly. I seem to recall having that problem (briefly ) due to the temp sensor still being disconnected.
