Nice Car ! I really like the color as well. As for the headlights, that's the first thing I did to my new Mark, I got the 3M kit, it came with a buffing pad (for drill) and a packet of "Rubbing Compound". I had a full bottle of rubbing compound with the same part # as listed on the packet, so I just used the buffing pad and a bunch of rubbing compound, no sanding at all. It made a HUGE difference right away, their not perfect and I'll probably sand them later on, but its a quick and easy improvement.

Mine were at least as bad as yours, and now...

Do you know what speed your drill goes to? I used the 3M kit on my wife's car and while it looks better, I think it could look better. I'm wondering if I used a high RPM drill that it may work better. I was using an old craftman cordless drill that only runs up to 700 RPM.

I think my drill only goes to 750rpm, but it seamed that the slower I turned it, the more hazing it was taking off. I put a fair amount of pressure on it, going slow, then I used lots of compound, spinning kinda fast, about 50%-70% of max speed on my drill, with lite pressure.

If you go too fast, it will BURN the plastic..... slow and a little pressure will do it.....if you have to, check the results and after a few days, redo it. I use Maguires polish on it after cutting the haze off with the compound. In fact, they have a product that is cleaner/polisher all in one.
