I like the AVIC D2 head unit. It also has come way down in price from when I purchased mine. There are options out there regarding a DVD player that will hook up to the head unit. I have a half din DVD player in my glove box. Pioneer also has a trunk mounted 10 disc DVD player. Here is my set-up:
