Superchips - MicroTuner

Just thought I would ask a couple questions on the Micro Tuner from Superchips. I wanted to see if anyone tried this product. I heard things about Superchips a while back, and they weren't good news. But I been hearing a lot about them on the other board and from around other websites. They are getting known quickly now. Any word on these modules? like if they perhaps do work for our marks.

part number: 1725
for the 4.6L V8 powered cars. It also says: Year: 96-2003
I have a 95. I was just wondering if that would be a problem.

I don't know if the micro-tuners are any good or not. The superchips custom pro racer package is supposed to be the good stuff, but i haven't heard anything about the micro tuners.

RE: Superchips - MicroTuner

I just sent an email to superchips about it and if it would work. Tell me more about this pro racer package...

RE: Superchips - MicroTuner

the pro racer package for EEC IV cars is basically a chip, a chip burner, software to allow you to do the tune yourself, and databases of tunes for your car to choose from. It costs $800 or $900 though. May be a good buy if you plan on needing your car retuned enough times in the future.

RE: Superchips - MicroTuner

The 93 to 95 Mark VIII's use a chip that piggy back's on the stock Mark VIII computer. I got a Superchip about seven years ago when I first got my 95 Mark VIII and was very satisfied. I later had it reprogrammed by a different "tuner" and was not as satisfied. I'm thinking about going back to Superchips again.

I mean I would just hate to give Geno or Dennis any of my money, so I decided to look elsewhere...LOL JK. I'll most likely get one from either Geno or Dennis, but I never hear which one is BETTER because everyone is 2 scared to say. I guess because all the drama that would follow. Come on, someone stand up and tell me whats up !. LOL

RE: Superchips - MicroTuner

Everybody tends to use the same chip as far as electronics go. It's the actual program that counts. You're in Chicago, you have two Dyno Tunes coming up in March and April. Go to one of them, get a chip and get it dyno tuned at the same time. The best thing you can do.
