[div class="dcquote"][strong]Quote[/strong]Driller, i love that pic of your car in signature. lol The whole car is twisting over. Look at the right rear.[/div]Yeah, you think the Blue Flame could use some chassis stiffening? :7 I think I may try unhooking the front swaybar next time at the track.Get me some hi-res pics of your beast for the calendar project! :9 Tires? Might I suggest looking at some Hoosiers? }( After studying film from my last test and tune, I don't think there was ANY tire spin at the launch! I would still keep that torque converter question open. Would maybe sending a copy of the dyno graph to the manufacturer help?
[/div]

Maybee, I havent talked to them yet. I wanted to get all problems on my end straightened out first. I'll see how it does this weekend if i get real tires in time.

My opinion Jeff, your last tuner prior to SSHS5 needs a good whack up-side the head for turning first gear off when doing the dyno runs, and not turning it back on when they were finished. x(

I'm not sure if they actually turn it off for the runs? Is that what they are supposed to do?
Naaa I am not blaming him. He knows his stuff. I believe it was more my fault. I was so happy he actually got the engine side tuned perfectly, that i thought the car was alright because it actually idled by itself at stop lights and pulled hard with no stutter and surge like before. He stayed late after work and tuned it all that night till 10PM right before the Atlanta trip the next mnorning.
I took the car out around town and it ran fine. I couldn't really beat on it on the local roads as they are always patrolled with police. I assumed it was all fine and i told him not to change anything since it (engine side of chip) was all good.
What I should of done was take it out on highway up to 70MPH speeds as thats where all the trouble started. Of course i didnt know that till i was on way up to Atlanta.
Anyways, he reflashed it back to stock Mark8 settings (no charge) when i told him what it was doing from the race tranny shop. He told me to come back (no charge) if i needed any more tweaks after we get it perfect again. So I'm happy with what he has done for me.
It was more me not knowing what to tell him what i wanted the car to do i believe. I thought it was hitting all the gears and it was the stall that was bogging. I was reluctant to get, and have never had a stall in any of my hotrods, so this was all new to me. lol
