last night on the way home from work, i was cruising about 95 mph on 75 north heading to the crib when all of a sudden i see these headlights coming in my rear view, and im like please dont be a state cop, so the light gets closer and its a gxp boneville, and im like ok he has an 275 hp northstar and i got a least 25 more hp on him cause of the poor mans ram air, lol anyway he eased on the side of me looked over than gently creeped ahead of me and away and in front of me so i gave it a little gas till i got on his bumper. all of a sudden i see punch smoke come from his tail pipes and he was gone , i hit right after he did and he was walking away from me like i had a 4 cyliner or something. i stayed on the pedal to about 125mph where i knew i was at my limit untill we reached a curve in the road, and he backed off the throttle, i didnt cause of the lower ride height over 55mph, i got ahead of him and opened it up like i never did before, back to 128mph this time, i never seen it go this fast with the overdrive off. i look up in my rear view and guess whos coming, that damm boneville hawking me down at 128 mph like i was yugo or something. i wanted to give him his props for beating me but he kept going after i was beefing with the governor. i need a programmer bad, cause that was embarrasing.

RE: that dam boneville

There is no Bonneville GXP...you may have seen the Gran Prix GXP, in which case they come with 303 hp and 323 torque. This assumes he didn't have any power adders, which it sounds like he might have.

RE: that dam boneville

it was a boneville gxp check it out on www.pontiac.com, it has the northstar motor, the grand prix gxp has the 5.3 v8, i checked both of those out that night i got hawked down. i got a guy called dyno dave in michigan burning me a 3 stage chip as we speak, with 3 diferent settings. stock, unrestricted, and wicked, for 250.00. his brother has an 98 base model with the same chip and it is off the hook.

He must have been blown, because the Northstar motor is not all that good, especially by today's standards. I'd say they aren't even up to par with our motors, but I'm not an expert.
