OK, I know what you are thinking; that my AC has failed, right? Wrong. The condenser pipes are colder than a well digger's a@@ in Fargo during February and sweating off cold water, just as they should be. Here's the problem: The heat blasts hot air all of the time, even if I shut off the auto climate control and just run the vent. Running it at max AC makes the air come out cooler, but it is still hot. I know that the heat is on, because when I have it set to "vent" the air is so hot that placing one's hand on the vent become's very uncomfortable real quick.

The engine temperatures are normal, so it is not overheating, and the engine fan is working perfectly. Please advise me what I can do to fix this. I'd rather get in the engine bay and bypass the heater core than pay the dealer to figure out and fix this problem. BTW, I do live in south Florida, so the loss os heat would not bother me in the slightest. But I would rather have everything functioning normally rather than ghetto rigging my nice car. Please help. :(

sounds like the blender door has broken on the heat position, but you did not say what year mark you own.

Try an onboard diagnostic test of the EATC(Electronic Air Temperature Control)? From the Manual:

To display the DTCs, initiate the On-Board Diagnostic by pushing OFF and FLOOR simultaneously and then AUTOMATIC within two seconds. The test may run as long as 20 seconds, during which time the display will be blank.

So instead of getting stuck with no heat like everyone else (ok with me), I get stuck with tons of heat and no AC? Somebody doesn't like me. :7

You can twist the gray arm behind the dash on the passenger side for now to get cold air only as a temporary fix. You would need to remove the glove box to get to it, but if you get to it, you can manually move the blender door position. You’re in Miami; I think you can live with COLD only air through the summer till you fix it prior to winter.

Here’s where you can find more info:

The dealer will charge you $600+ to do it, part only costs about $27, the rest is labor. You should consider tackling this on your own, but its worth the effort.
