This Thing Is A Slug Off The Line..

i just got a 03 v8 ls and was wondering what the best things to do to get this thing going? it has 0 power to 3.5k. i dont want to make it loud with exhaust but willing to do an intake/maf/ect.. the car feels like it has a stall, it basically sits there till you build up some RPMs and it takes off then about 3.5k it kicks in good and is liveable. your missing half your powerband!?! i have mustangs and trans ams and used to having balls from the go, i gotta get this quicker off the line and get better throttle response or i dont know if i will be able to tolerate driving it.

Umm it will never be a trans am. You're comparing a 280hp car that weighs 3800lbs to a 350hp car that weighs 3200.

I'd make sure the car is running right, and that plugs/coils/filters/fluids are all fresh.
 
obviously im not talking about making it run 11s like my TA lol. i simply said i want to wake it up off the line didnt i??

yeah i read up on the 4.10 swap and seemed like it was alot of time, hassle, and money. that would help the take off but not ready to start doing mods like that. trying to keep it simple and DD it.
 
heres some things you can do....buy a magnaflow exhaust for a 2002. they do not make them for the 03 and up. Take it to a local mineakee and have them cut the new exaust right before the x pipe and make two bikes to go from that point to the back of your catalytic converter. Everything thing else fits fine. Then do a cold air intake from K&N. that should make her move a little better. With that set up i was able to beat my friends silverado ss of the line.
 
Could it be a bad Throttle Actuator or do the RPM's build up like normal? You act like a stall converter is a bad thing!
