Town Car Question

Does anyone know if Town Cars were wired for a cd changer in the trunk, even if the changer was not installed in every car? There's a cd button on the head unit, but no changer in the trunk.

Then you didn't get the changer. I had the same deal with my '99 Conti. You can get a 6-disc CD changer and harness that plugs right into the back of the radio.

Matter of fact, if you need one, let me know. I've got the disc changer w/magazine and didn't use it because I went with the built-in ipod into the stock unit. I don't have the harness though, but shouldn't be that much from crutchfield or where ever you get your audio equipment done.

Let me get back with you on the changer. Brad may try to find a 6-disc Ford unit to mount in the dash; he hasn't made up his mind yet. Thank you :)

OK, no problem. Just so you know, It has brackets and everything. Just missing the cable. I'll let you have it for what I paid for it...$50 + shipping. You can email me at tattoohead (at) gmail (dot) com if you want a faster response.

My husband has talked to the "stereo guy" at our local Best Buy, and he's decided to buy some equipment from there to solve his dilemma. It's an FM modulator that will hook inline with the FM antenna, and be wired to an MP3 player that will be kept in the armrest when in use. We'll still keep the stock look that way, and be able to play MP3's in the car.

I sure appreciate your nice offer (and the discussion). Thank you! :)
