From the manual:

Wiper Motor

CAUTION:
The internal permanent magnets used in the wiper motor are a ceramic (glass-like) material. Care must be exercised in handling the motor to avoid damaging the magnets. The motor must not be struck or tapped with a hammer or other object.


Removal and Installation


1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Remove rear hood seal. Remove wiper arm assemblies.

3. Remove cowl vent screens. Disconnect washer hoses from washer jets.

4. Remove wiper assembly retaining screws and lift assembly out. Disconnect washer hose.

5. Disconnect electrical connectors from wiper motor.

6. Unsnap and remove wiper linkage cover.

7. Remove linkage retaining clip from motor operating arm by lifting locking tab and pulling clip away from pin.

8. Remove motor retaining screws.

9. To install, reverse Removal procedure.

it might work like that on a mark but not on a town car i removed the arm assy. cover and it appears to come out from the bottom but the valve cover is in the way and it cant come out to the left so as far as i can see it looks like the brakebooster must be removed to get the motor out i've changed several wiper motors in my time but i was looking for a trick to get it out that mabey i didn't know if any one has changed the wiper motor on a 1993 town car please tell me about it thanks for your help everyone :D

That was straight from the manual for the Town Car.

oh I see well i'll try it that way but i dont know if it will work cause the 3 screws that hold it in place are under the cover where the trans. arm attaches to the motor they are on the top and the motor is underneath i have a wrecked parts car so i'm gonna take that one off first for a trial run since its the one i'm gonna use to replace it with well thanks for the info!!! DOES ANYONE have a moon roof switch for the same car it has two lites and the switch in the middle dk blue in color??? i've looked around and there are a few diff. types and i havent found mine yet its a JACK NICHOLAS EDITION :eek:
