went to the track today, first run was a 15.5 @ 88 mph, second run i did a 15.3 @ 91mph, but i left the air conditioner on trying to cool off while in line, i just wanna know why did i run faster with the air on than i did when it was off. my last run was 14.9 with my air filter off @ 92mph with the a/c still on. the =rest of the day i was doing 15.5/ 15.7 with the air off, probably cause i was running back to back without cooling off.

There could be a hundred reasons why one run was faster than another. Were you spinning the tires at launch any time? I do not know why but a lot of times, my car does not run 'up to par' on the first run of the day with no apparent explanation. Changing temperature, barometric pressure and humidity affects your times most predominantly if you are consistant in all other aspects. Hot lapping, running back to back, definitely causes heat soak and it will show on your ETs.

I'm not sure why you would need the AC on in Detroit in September, but I believe the AC is cutoff at WOT, so technically it shouldn't effect HP. Most tracks do not appreciate the water condensate from the AC on the track surface however. I have been at the track in 90+ degree weather and obediantly left the AC off.

it was pretty warm 2day and while i was waiting in line i turned the a/c on for a minute, the track people was tripping about people with the a/c on, but i didn't have any wheel spin, probably cause i had brand new 1 week old michelins 235/60/16, but i smoked them anyway cause i was gettin pics of me smoking them so i had to do it, just to look good, by the way there was a benz amg, i think a sl 65 ran a 11.6 @ 119mph with the a/c on now thats power., i think i can get faster i just got to play with the computer some more. but i did run better with the a/c on, maybe the fan was on keeping a little cooler, plus i got my fan blowing at 160 degrees thru the program
, and im shifting at 6900 rpms in first and second gear.

ohh yeah i was whoopin some dude in a mark 7 all day he just wanted to keep racing he was doing a 16.5 to 16.7 all day @ about 86 mph, he said he had a pitbull chip removed cats, and a shift kit, but no performance air filter, maybe thats what he needed to be a little faster. my little cousin has an 94 mark 8 with a chip dave made him not a powerful but he beat me in a 1/4 mile cause my breather popped off cause i forgot to tighten it up the night before after i was cleaning the throttle body, he turned out a 15.4 @ 89 mph and he rubbing that in my face constantly, but i beat him on the streets a couple days before we went to the track.

because the water dropped from your car, could KILL the person making a pass after you.

Please turn off your AC before arriving at the track and dont turn it back on until you leave the track.

can you post the timeslip from your 14.9 pass and one of the other passes, I would like to compare the data and see where you picked up .6 in the 1/4.

I GOT A 3 STAGE SNIPER PROGRAM CHIP WITH A LED INDICATER, I ONLY HIT THAT 14.9 CAUSE I HAD IT ON EXTREME, BUT I TOOK IT OFF BECAUSE I WAS GETTING A LITTLE KNOCK IN HIGH 3RD GEAR. I NEED TO LOWER THE RPM'S DOWN, I HAD IT A 400 RPM'S MORE

Could you transcribe the timeslips, say.. for instance.. your first pass and your best pass?

I still would like to see the #'s to see where the sniper program was "working it's magic"?
