I have a 2001 Nissan quest and I've had gear shifting problems where it gets stuck in park and I have to kind of wiggle the shifter til it finds the "channel" to move into so that it shifts. Well I've had it fixed before but today on Sunday it will not shift, no matter what I do. I can only hope someone here has a work around or solution for me before 4pm. I'm screwed if I can't shift it.

Forget it, tow guy says its the relay
 
my advice was going to suggest putting on a leather jacket, kicking the shifter housing, and saying "AYYYY!!!"


..this actually works on a co-worker's kia..
 
disconnected the pesky solenoid that causes that locking to occur, screw it, drive it like the old days!

Brake lights work. It was the thing that makes u have to press the brake to shift
