I heard on satellite radio the official release was tomorrow. It was thought to be in short supply initially(retail-wise) and expected to be in over 75% of the new PCs shipping by the end of this year.

I am going to ask a friend of mine if he has cracked Vista yet. Yes, he's that good...probably on a government watch list. He doesn't steal it though, he just likes the challenge. He showed me how he cracked XP...he was able to activate it without entering a code. He's an IT director in Frisco.

I better stop there...don't want feds at my door.

Neither do I and most of the techies...can't easily upgrade an Apple component by component. With my PC, I can run benchmarks to find out where the bottleneck is in my system and upgrade just that part for as little as $100.
