Why are these forums cleaned out so much?

I went to look at a particular post in this forum and it was gone. What's the purpose of a forum when posts that are good for reference are deleted? I mean, there were only 5 or 6 posts in here, max!

there are 100s of post here, you have your settings set to only go back so far.

Well, better that you said something and got an answer than just getting fed up and leaving. Plus if you had the problem, others probably did as well.
