Thus the question about engine specifics. While not the ultimate solution, it worked for us several times in the past. Ask Jeff and his 1996 10:1 compression 12-13 psi Eaton car (original 1996 PCM). Close the gap down to .018-.023 if you're having blow out issues on a boosted car.

Any details on the replacement engine ? I would reconsider the PCM swap. It's rather complicated. Each coil is fed separately, fuel system is different, MLPs is entirely different, VCRM vs VCLM, and all those will require not only repinning but also adding several wires. However, pretty much...

That's a 96-98 B-head engine with lousy IC less KB blower. It's not an 03-04 Terminator engine.

If you have the external harness from a 98 M8, then you can use that to swap the 98 transmission into a 97 Mark VIII without ANY other changes. No repining, no splicing, just plug and play. No changes to any wiring (car or trans side). MLPS/TCC/Shift solenoids all have the same values.

The output shaft has teeth machined into it and in turn drives the plastic removable speedo gear. The latter can be accessed by just pulling the tail shaft speed sensor. The plastic "speedo" gears vary between the models/gear ratios. The drive gears on the OS are not the same, there are 7 and...

You have a Dakota Digital unit which is a much better option that speedcal IMO.
