'08 TC HVAC incorrect air flow problem

Hello,

I seam to be having an issue with my 2008 Town Car's HVAC system. The problem is that the air flow comes out of the floor regardless of what air flow direction I set both the heat and AC to. I can set the AC to panel (or face) it will go to face and then over time (sometimes right away or sometimes after a few minutes) I will start to feel cold air on my feet as more and more air leaks out through the floor vents and I loose flow coming out of the panel. This is the same with all other settings like defrost etc... It will blow correctly and then slowly more and more air will come out the floor and you will lose the flow coming out where you actually set the system to. I have performed a self test on the HVAC several times and no codes became of any of the tests. It seams like there is something either jamming the floor actuator from completely closing or it closes and then slowly backs open a certain amount without the computer noticing. As stated before, this happens on all settings (AUTO included) and I can sometimes go a whole car ride with no issue and then it will be constant another day. Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, past experience or even better a diagram showing the layout of the TC's HAVC system (where the actuators are and the air flow from inlet in the cowl to the outlet in the car's vents)? Thanks in advance for any info!

I'm not sure if it's the same but our 2006 Town Car had a similar issue with the HVAC not blowing where directed.

I remember looking in the manual for how to replace the offending door actuator but after digging through the procedure, it required complete removal of the dash which I was not prepared to undertake.
