09 Navigator Air Suspension

The compressor runs often on my 09 Navigator which makes me think the bags may be leaking. By often, I it may run twice or more just going through a drive through somewhere.

I'm going to turn the suspension off and see if it drops, but in the mean time I'm shopping for new bags. Boy are they more expensive than a bag for a Town Car or a Mark. American Air Suspension doesn't sell them, Arnott has them for $320 each but they lack the protective aluminum shield. Suncore sells them for $300 each with the protective aluminum shield.

I know the Navigators and Expedition have a poor reputation for air suspension problems, but I plan on keeping the setup. So my question is, is Suncore a reputable brand in your opinion? And other than proactively replacing the dryer, is there any maintenance I can do to prolong the life of these air bags?

I'm not sure about Suncore, but I don't think the shield really does much for the bag life? I've already had to replace one one on my 2010 Navigator but luckily under extended warranty.

My 2 cents would tip towards Arnott.

I was thinking the same thing about the shieldtoo, but the factory one has it. So you would LIKE to think it's got a purpose.
