It's time to start scheduling vacation days for me and I thought that I'd like to meet some other members.

So... what event(s) is everyone planning on attending in the Midwest this year?

So far, I'm planning on attending the "Pinks All Out" at Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk) in June.
I may give FFW one more chance this year in July. The last two events for FFW in Ohio were pretty bad.

Other than Carlisle All-Ford Nationals I do not know what dates are set for events.

In the past, members have met at World Ford Challenge. Last year was mid May in Indianapolis.

The past two years have had a Mark VIII meet in the Detroit, MI area in August.

Then of course there is the Super Southern HeavyWeight ShootOut in Atlanta usually at the beginning of November.

The club is always willing to assist and sponsor any events for members.

I'd really love to do another Port Clinton meet this year. We haven't done one for a while. End of summer/early fall is when we used to have it.

I'd also love to do something in the Chicago area again, but would need help.

Never been to Carlisle.. Is that a good time?
Port Clinton sounds good too.. maybe the winery?
I'm up for a meet in Detroit too.

Has anyone ever been to Super Summit? Summit Racing is only 20 min from where I live. Last year there were 1300 cars showing. I was lucky enough to pick up a top 50 award at that show. http://www.summitracing.com/evc/event/event.asp?EventID={5287B70D-158A-450B-9A95-C3BFB34CF64E}
It would be fun to roll in there with a half dozen or more Marks.

If by Port Clinton you mean Put-in-Bay, I'm all for that!

Carlisle is always a good time!

The Michigan meets have been the best local meets for the past two years. I'm not sure if Jeremi is up to it this year.

Jeremi?

Yep, Put-In-Bay. ;) And don't forget, World Ford Challenge is becoming more fun every year. And JP needs a pit crew for it too.

Kewl! :D

With the demise of the World Ford Challenge, we could plan on making the NMRA/NMCA SuperBowl an annual meet? I wanted to go to this event in Joliet last year, but things didn't pan out.

The event is scheduled for July 17-20 with the car show and swap meet on Saturday and Sunday. A two day show ticket will cost $35, or you can show one day for $25. It appears a one day spectator ticket is $20(for $5 more you can be in the car show).

Racing starts Friday and the finals are on Sunday.

Well, I am maybe up for a Detroit or Port Clinton meet this year, but it may have to be later in the Fall sometime for me to be able to make it. Many changes are happening in my life right now. My Fiance and I move into a new apartment on Feb 1st and getting married Feb 16th. Also there is the fact that we are going to be having a baby. The projected due date is Sept 3rd so I am really busy this summer. I would love to see a meet in mid to late Sept so we might be able to bring the new baby.
