You know that if you don't I'll be the only Mark VIII, or even the only Lincoln present! ;)

My dad will be joining us, he doesn't have his Town Car anymore, so he'll be in the Mark VIII with me.:)

I'm not sure what everyone's plans are, The Big Boy is changing to a Leo's coney island, I don't know if they will be open in time. There are a couple good small restaurants at fort and west road though.

It's pretty much show up when and where you can, send me a PM for a number if you want to give me a call when you are in the area.

Got there at 11:30 and no Bill, no Dean, no one! Jeremi and Martin showed up around 12:50 or so, my daughter and I got some Arby's around 1:35, went back to the dealership and Jeremi was gone but Bill was there with his dad and some other guy in a beat-up blue 97 LSC that he just got and is getting it fixed. I left at 3:05 - the construction wasn't helping any. Hopefully next year's cruise will be better! Looking forward now to the Michigan Avenue cruise and the Telegraph Rd Cruise, both if which I think are better than the Downriver Cruise.

IRRATIONAL
I wanted to get there but the storms in Southern Ohio and West Virginia took out a whole lot of our customers. I had to stick around and dispatch crews to WV... Just in case Driller lost power.

Sorry 'bout that Dean. :D

We drove through the storm on our way to Indy. It was very intense.

One of our projects did loose power. We were told this morning it would be 24-36 hours before they would be back online.

I heard from one of my Mazda/FB contacts that the DC/VA area or wherever he is saw 5 fatalities. :(

EDIT: That was from this afternoon....CNN reports a dozen dead. :(

We had a great time!

The traffic wasn't bad, but I think that was only because people weren't cruising much. Most of the cars were parked, probably because of the construction.

We checked out a lot of the cars in the parking lots, I'll post some pictures.

I've heard the Telegraph cruise sucks big time Gonzo.:D

+1 on the Auburn! I didn't see that gray Base, I saw another gray Gen 2 base with a dirty and torn vinyl top, that car was beat-up. I also saw a nice black Gen 2 and of course the guy that parked next to you Bill.

Telegraph Rd isn't bad, the majority of the cruisers are in Taylor and the timing of the traffic lights down there hang it up a bit. For the Michigan Ave Cruise the center of activity is in the city of Wayne where Michigan Ave splits for a mile or so. It goes from Wayne east to Dearborn (Outer Drive) and then back. The Mustang Club people (MOCSEM) hang out at Village Ford in Dearborn, and there are activities all along the route. Dearborn Heights PD HQ hosts some cop cars including the Blues Brothers Bluesmobile.

Two thoughts went through my mind. in the following order:

1) I could make that fit on a Mark.
2) Nice A**

:D

Here's another shot of the ornament.

Strange fact: This car has a 4.6L supercharged straight eight.:)

Start some new threads reminding us about the Grand Rapids and Telegraph cruises, I'd like to check them out too.:)
