ive got a 95 town car.

ive got a 93 ..... engines are pretty much the same , but trannies , chasis and bodies are completely different (while looking basically the same)

are the engines interchangeable? will they bolt up (im sure ill have to change a lot of the wiring and sensors)... would the computers allow such a swap?

what about a 98 grand marquis? same old same old , or is it a completely different animal ....... (marquis needs a third member) , but allegedly not much else.... thanks in advance - its often hard to find info on this shoehorn stuff

There should be really minimal changes between the 93 and 95. 93 has an AODE, and 95 has a 4R70W, so the tailshaft is different, has a different sized slip yoke.

The 98 MGM has slightly better heads (less likely to wear out valve seals and guides), and the plastic intake (instead of the aluminum EGR channel clogger). To transplant that engine you need more from the donor like the fuel lines/rails EGR, throttle cable, air intake, etc. There are lots of differences between TC and MGM (chassis length) and between 93, 95, and 98 (suspension, OBDII versus OBDI, etc).

Visually they changed the front end slightly between 93 and 95 (header panel, grille, headlights).
