FS: 97 Toreador Red LSC on eBay

Some used car lot in Florida is asking $9,995 for a 45,000 mile 97 LSC in Toreador Red with Prairie Tan interior. Very clean and shiny, but lots of black in the rear neon/lens. Here's the eBay link:

Car is worth about what the current bid is IMO. Lots of "little" cosmetic issues only a Mark owner would know about. Black in the taillight really hurts that car bad.

I always look at the rubberized coating on the switch panels and door handle cups. How/if it's been "picked at" should give you a good idea if it's a "nice" car or an "exceptional" car.

Minus the neon and the wrong head unit, nice car. Even nicer comparable. Thanks for the link, will be interesting to see what it bids out for.

I did not notice the neon pic. The driver's seat looks perfect. You almost never see that. I can't remember the last time I saw a light colored seat that looks that good.

The rear window trim is different from mine. And it doesnt have a moonroof or heated seats!!!

$6800! That is allott. It will be tough to make a profit on that one. My LSC does not have heated seats. Why would you need them on car that has always been in Florida.

Also, why is it idling at 500.. seems kind of low!

It was also running a little hot. Some one another site noticed the black cover under the car connected to the front bumper had red over spray on it so it might be a repaint. Itis not a close up picture so maybe it is just light reflection.

Throw your back out and those heated seats really come in handy! Unfortunately I'm using mine now...

Didn't want to start another thread but for folks in the Illinois area:

1998 Mark VIII LSC, Toreador Red, 23,977 miles, $7900

I got notified by Auto Trader. If I had the $ I would get it but I am far, far from that number. I'm keeping an eye on availability and prices - 2 of my 3 girls will be driving age in about 3-5 years and they both want a Mark VIII!

Is this one in chicago really a CE? Looks like it has some of the CE trim...seats, steering wheel, shifter.
