A Rare Mark VIII Mirror

My red 94 had, and my black 94 have this manual dimming mirror. The side mirror is manual also of course. The auto dimming mirror was an option in 94.

I don't have to worry about the "Mirrorcon V" fluid leaking out or getting foggy.

It's the Electrochromic Auto Dim Mirror option.

My green 94 came with the option, and this window sticker was in the glove box.:thumbsup:

$215 option, wow. Was a head of it's time 21 years ago with the voice activated cell phone.

i thought that option was referring to the side view mirror? and not the rear view mirror.

Either way, I'm envious. I really prefer the manual kind anyway. The automatic one never seems to dim enough..

Shortly after bragging about my rare mirror, the black interior car was sitting in the hot sun at work, and when I went to drive home I found the mirror had fallen off the windshield and was broken.

I had to replace it with a spare auto dimming mirror I had from a 98 parts car. I wish I would have thought of taking the mirror from my red car when I parted it out.

My 94 parts car had a manual dimming mirror also. I might still have it kicking around somewhere...
