Yes, I love AMERICAN Luxury Cars, on which I was raised. Many years ago I founded the New York/New Jersey/Pa Imperial Owners Club and we had many meets and all kinda good stuff. Sadly, most of the members are now too old to drive, or have passed on. This gave way to a new club which I kinda backed down from as by that time I had turned to Cadillacs & Lincolns as I was angry that Chrysler killed off the "Imp" ~ Finally from Cadillacs (I still have a gem of one) I wandered off to Lincolns, and here I am on my 3rd Lincoln. 1986 Mark 7 1998 Mark 8 LSC Collector's~Edition and 2003 Town CAr Cartier Limited Edition.

Your Conti is very nice. I like them in Black!
and Welcome, once again :)

I was enjoying watching you talk to yourself. But you do have a very nice car. Maybe you can convince Norm to sell the Bullitt for a Conti, and then he can come here and hang out with you. Then you'd probably have the most active forum on the board. :)

I have a '91 Continental, but those were the darker years of the Continental that I think Lincoln wants to forget about (something like 90-94 I believe.) We've spent so much keeping that thing alive, it is kind of sad really.

BUT to it's credit, it was my first car (I liked to pretend it was a rally car in the snow, and on wet dirt roads.) And also it currently is my brother's first car (you know that trick where you drive in reverse at about 20 mph, cut the wheel, put it in drive, and do a 180? Well, he hasn't quite got it down yet, but I guess he has come close a few times)

Amazingly it is on it's original ait struts in the front (as far as I know.) I think it has about 150,000 on the clock, we bought it at 118,000 or so.

Hi. I'm new here! Nice to meet all of you. I've owned my Conti for just over 5 months now. Great car hands down. I love everything about it. I bought it for $18k Canadian ($13k US) with 83000km (51552miles) on it. I've only accumulated 2500km (1553mi) on it. No serious problems. The only "problem" was related to Lincoln's "patented" alarm system where a dirty door switch would let the car scream all night ;-) After that, I've had nothing but great cruises, plenty of stares and lots of power to put people in their places. I only hate the FWD but whatever. I think this is a great place to discuss these fine cars.

Your car is indeed a sweet ride Smokey. I love the black on black combo but silver on grey is my second favourite http://www.regalgs.org/forum/icon_smile_big.gif I'll get some pics up as soon as I buy my Digital Video camera. I wish I got a 99 and up because it had more power. I'm not sure what did they did to increase the power though do you? Man I'd really like to hear how are your sounds http://www.regalgs.org/forum/smiles/3gears.gif This car is a 4 door mark. Some don't realize it and others don't like FWD http://www.regalgs.org/forum/smiles/puke.gif

Hello Fiknation. The Continental is more of a sleeper. Somewhat sporty but underrated http://www.regalgs.org/forum/icon_smile_cool.gif. The same engine in the mark/mustang cobra turned sideways. If you got one in exceptional condition, you won't be dissapointed. The black on black combo looks the sharpest http://www.regalgs.org/forum/smiles/bowdown.gif. All you'd need are some polished cobra r replica wheels and it'll look killer. I'd suggest a 1999 Continental because Ford gave it 15 extra hp and a smidge more torque. You can do some simple relativley inexpensive mods to it such as superchip, k&n air filter, modified air intake and exhaust. If money isn't an object http://www.regalgs.org/forum/smiles/bigok.gif then you should talk to geno at lincolnmotorsport because he had customers bring in their cars to him for SERIOUS upgrades. Good luck!http://www.regalgs.org/forum/icon_smile_big.gif
