Attention Central Florida Chapter of Lincolns of Distinction car club. You are invited to the first LOD Meet/Race Day at Lil' 500 FASTRACK - Go-Kart facility, Located 10 minutes North of Orlando, on Hwy. 17-92 in Maitland. This track has been in the Central Florida area for over 30 years, and provides some of the best hands-on racing excitement that money can buy, anywhere in the southeast!

It's been awhile since our last meet and local traffic here on the site and the Tampa/Lincolns yahoo site has been at a dead standstill! Let's change that! Of course, the scope of this will be dictated by the responce I get, but here's my plan.

Meet at the track at 11:00 am. I will secure the covered area nearest the fastrack. This will be a good place to brag or complain between runs! ::roll:: Lunch will be provided by Subway Subs. Chips, soft drinks and water will also be on hand. Anyone who want's to bring a dish to share is welcome. When you sign up, just indicate what you will be bringing, so we don't end up with 6 green bean casseroles! :B

Club members who sign up here will receive 3 free runs. Each race lasts about 4-5 minutes. Otherwise, rides are $5.00 each but if we have enough turnout, the management will give us a discount. I'll let you know after we see how many plan to attend. Family members are welcome too! There are 2 other track for the little ones. The first is 5 and up to drive, or 2 seaters for an adult to drive them. Second track is 8 and up to drive. The fastrack is 10 and up but I don't recomend letting them go with too many adults. The ride can be rough!

Up to 12 cars hit the egg-shaped oval at a time. This is no kiddie ride. 12 cars makes for pretty tight racing. Contact in unavoidable! }( If we don't have enough to fill the rides, anyone else in line will be able to join in so we may be running with others. The management will work with us. Many local car clubs show up here on a weekly basis, most notiable is the Martin Sports Car Club. Several "ricer" clubs show up and a 'drifting' club frequents too. Even some biker clubs race here, (when they get tired of balancing on 2 wheels!)

Here are some pics of the track.

There is plenty of space to park our Marks right in front of the track, or across the street in front of a warehouse, (closed on Sat's)

This invitation is extended to any members of the LOD. You don't have to be a member of the Central Florida Chapter to join us! If you make the trip, your welcome. We may even have a prize for the member traveling the greatest distance to join us.

There you go. It's out there. Let me know what you think and we'll go from there. When I have some numbers, I will talk with the management and see what kind of deal I can work out. This place is addictive, I warn you! Talk to me people and I'll see you here....

I will be in Tampa on Friday the 19th with my coaster club. We get to ride Sheikra all day with the media before the grand opening on Saturday. I could meet you in the evening after 18:00 if that's ok with you. Again this depends on if we have the meet or not. Let me know please! Thanks!

I'd be happy to loan it to you. Call me when you're in town and we can meet up. In the past we've had as many as 15 Mark VII's and Mark VIII's at meets but It just kinda died off for lack of interest. There are a bunch of Lincoln Lovers over your way. Maybe you can organize something there.
