New. My name is Dave Mirras (Greek) from NE, Am retired from Sand and Gravel operation. Toured Viet Nam for 2 years. I have been a member for a while. Have been looking for a Mark and learning everything I can from LOD. My wife Teri and I bought a low mile 1994 Mark Vlll in 96. It was silver, they called it blue? It was beautiful. We adopted a child and traded it in for an Explorer, EB. When we traded in the Mark, the sales person said, this is a beautiful car and he bought it. Dang it, should have kept it. Anyway, for the last two years, while I was looking, one day my neighbor backed a black 94 Mark out of her guarge. I didn't know she had it. I asked if it was for sale and she said something was wrong with it. She said if I cut her grass I can have it. Sweet. I am retired so I have time to mess with it. It tries to start but smells like gas. I will keep everyone informed of the progress. And thanks for having me. Dave

Welcome to the board :)!

Depending on the miles I'd start with the basics... ie maintenance... plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter.

Welcome!

How old is the gas in the tank? Old gas can smell pretty bad.

Check out the drivetrain section. There's a few common, easy things to check for an engine that won't start there.

The 94 is my favorite year.:D
