It's times like these I'm glad I have my Mark. I finally hooked up with HuggyBear on Friday for lunch and a brew. George was at Carlisle this year and brought back a towel for me. So, I owed him of course. Anyway, turns out to be Huggy's 50th so needless to say, lunch was on me.
Huggy's Mark is such a great looking ride. Paint is much better than mine and with Geno's rims, it looks real fine. Anyway, I guess I must have been inspired, so I decided to put a little spit and polish into the Neilstermobile.
Washed it up on Friday night. Saturday morning so nice out, I decided to do more cleaning down at the lake. So I threw all my stuff in the car and went to the beach. Found a shadey spot and started my chores. Chrome polished the 10 spokes, cleared all the interior surfaces. Put some leather conditioner / cleaner on the seats. Struck up a number of conversations with some people having their morning Tim Horton's (that's a coffee in Canadian) that started - Nice ride. What kind of car is that? A Lincoln???!!!!
Later that evening there was a cruise in a nearby town called Ajax so I toddled off to check out the muscle cars. Parked the Mark just outside the perimeter and walked around. A couple of folks walking by paid complements. Nice ride. What is that? A Lincoln???? No kindin'...
Headed back into town after dark and parked by a Wendy's (what was probably a former A&W). Wasn't long before some other rides showed up. The town I live in is definitely a GM town with a huge GM plant. Needless to say, I usually get mistaken for an Aurora. Nice ride. What is that? A Lincoln????
Sweet....
