Never heard of a speed alarm, can be a seat belt warning or maybe a door ajar warning, but those are just guesses.

Welcome, Justin!

Are any status lights lit? Has the car ever been in an accident? Many of our cars will "ding" if there's a problem with the air bag (SRS,) and the bulb on the warning light has been removed.

Could it be because I no longer have air ride and have reg. Suspension
No, the air bags being proposed as the culprit are the Supplemental Restraint System airbags in the steering wheel and dash. If the clock spring is faulty, it will cause a warning. Another common fault is a rusty ground connection for the front crash sensors. When either happens and the airbag warning lamp is burnt out, the system is supposed to sound off a repeating warning beep in specific code signifying a system fault. Is there a pattern to the chime or beep?

If it's not related to the airbag system, perhaps it is the door chime?

On my '96 Mark VIII, the door chime will come on at times even with the key removed from the ignition. It goes off with the door closed so I haven't bothered to check into it. It's only supposed to come on with the key in the ignition and the door open.

I don't know if the two could be related but I would bet if the door switch on my car went bad, it would chime full time. So, I'm wondering if the door switch in your continental could be faulty along with whatever else is going on and the car simply thinks the door is open? Does the chime sound like the same as when the door is open and the key is left in the ignition?

No when i open the door the chime is a completely different the chime iam cant seem to get rid of is like a warning chime but all my warning lights work such as check engine door ajar and ect. but I believe its the air bag because it was in a accident before i bought it and the chime iam describing is very random beeps like a Morris code and comes and goes as it feels my wife swears its something to do with the passenger seat but iam stuck on air bag or something electrical i can go a hour with no problem or it can start as soon as i get in so its very random and very annoying :mad-tilt: I do appreciate all the feed back from every one
