The wife and I found a 2011 Lincoln MKZ that has the Ford color "Red Candy". She's always wanted a red Lincoln and I think we found one. It's at CarMax and has only 8K miles on it. We're going to look at it after work Friday. We paid to have it shipped to the DFW area from Mississippi.

Does anybody have any experience with a MKZ?

Pretty solid cars. Expect to go through a couple of interior door handles; the plastic inner workings can easily be broken. Also, bring it to a dealer to see if there are any open TSB's on it that can be addressed. Good cars otherwise.

One of the best cars I ever had. Plenty of power and a smooth Lincoln ride. Tires really matter on these cars, don't go cheap or you will lose ride quality and gain road noise. I had 9 months left on my lease and bought cheap cheap tires to get me through the snow storms we were havivng (otherwise I wouldn't have changed them but they were pretty much slicks and not fun in the snow).
I did not have one problem with my MKZ. I ran 87 octane, changed the oil and beat the snot out of it (company car, took lots of abuse).

Good, it takes regular!

Thanks for the thumbs up.

We're going Mobil 1 and regular oil reports. Since there is no warranty, I'm the head wrench -- so if it take abuse and keeps on ticking that even better.

Assuming the wife likes it and we buy it.... we'll find out tomorrow evening.
