Joe, I even have an extra Mark VIII you can drive for the weekend if you decide to fly. All I need to know is if you can drive a stick or not.

Really it just comes down to timing. I work Tues-Thurs... history has proven that powering from Cape Cod to North Saint Paul is 23 hours (including a 90 minute nap). So if I left Thursday night, I wouldn't get there until late Friday night at the earliest (and I'm sure I'd be wrecked) and then I'd have to leave at the latest Sunday afternoon to get home late Monday night (to be wrecked for Tuesday).


I don't think flying with mom is a good idea... not only because of being trapped in a plane for hours, but because I think it's just asking for issues with TSA... :(


Also BTW - driving across Wisconsin SUCKED... I've never seen so many people militantly bent on not exceeding the speed limit... it was infuriating. :D

That pisses me off too.

That's what scares me about self driving cars, appliances driving the speed limit in all 3 lanes.:D

Not a problem at all, Joe. You've taken some pretty drastic measures to attend this event in the past. I sure won't fault you for not making this one.

Bill, that's a good point. Time to program AI to pull over for basically anything coming up behind them.. :D

I plan to be there along with Eric V who is a new addition to our local crowd with a green Gen1. I plan to hit Rock Falls this weekend. Saturday isn't looking so great as of right now for weather. Sunday is looking better. Do you mind if a big red ugly Mark VIII is chilling on your property on a trailer behind an F350? :rolleyes:

The house is not, but I am. :)

I'm pretty sure there's bacon in the freezer right now, and I should be pretty well stocked on coffee.

I got the lawn all cleaned up yesterday, and it looks better than it should. I hope to get everything else prepped this evening.

This is going to be a great time, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Looking forward to it Mike, thank you again for the effort you put in to this. This is definitely a highlight of my fall.

I'll be there with the green car, unless it brakes and I need to drive the go'er.

Postponing the track until next week. Big Red was successfully turned up yesterday and is a total monster. To add to the excitement she is turning 100k today and told me she wants a cake. :cool:
