MKZ transfer case???????

You know i am gonna tackle it tomorrow as the transfer case got here late this afternoon. Never fails i got a big date with the wow how should i phrase this. Okay i got it girlfriend wanted to have a lite day clean finger nails. No busted knuckles that's not happening. :fart

What issue are you having with it? My MKX had a shaft seal leak. The dealership (warranty) ended up replacing the shaft as well as the PTU, just replacing the seal didn't seem to do it. If you are putting a new one in you might want to add a drain plug so you can drain and fill once and a while. Many issues fort the MKX PTU is a result of the lube thickening up due to heat.

It was making a loud whining noise. Sounded like an Muncie M22 "Rockcrusher" 4 speed manual.

Thats one of the major reasons why I just bought the ford extended premium service plan for 8 years and 100k on my MKX. I already had the PTU replaced once under warranty as well as some other work done.
