Mozilla FireFox

Just thought I would comment about the above. I just downloaded it (Freebie) and notice how much faster it loads this and other web sites compared to MS Explorer. Like night and day. Too bad MS has not gotten their stuff fixed after all these years. I would be interested to hear from any of the folks who are proficient in this realm as to any consequences I should be aware of. I am also a Norton Securities customer for some protection.

I pretty much use Google Chrome all the time now. :)

Some sites still require IE but I rarely use it anymore.

There are still a few websites that were specifically coded for Internet Explorer 6 that do not work well in Firefox, but those are getting far and few between. Other then that some consider it to be more secure then Internet Explorer because it isn't so closely tied to the Operating System. However Firefox does have it's vulnerabilities too but they are generally patched rather quickly.

My Norton didn't like Firefox..... I had 360 2009 (ver 2) and I talked with the Support people and they told me I needed Ver 3 if I used Firefox. He then remotely installed it for me...has worked fine since.... been about a week or so.

All sounds well thanks for the responses, looks like everyone else is moving away from MS also.

I've been using Firefox for years now. I prefer it so much over IE. Although IE8 is better then IE7. Also, there's an add on for FF that emulates IE so you don't have to use IE. My Netflix "watch it now" works this way. Ironically, it refuses to play on IE.

And love the different themes and pluggins.

I also use Forecast Fox for weather updates.
