New front wheel bearings - thanks Jeremi!

My 97 LSC developed the unmistaken wheel bearing "hum" or "grind" on the right front wheel. Going straight and the hum was there, turn right and it went away. It was also felt in the floorboard. A quick call to Jeremi and the annoying bearing noise was no more. Although I only had a problem with one side he advised to change both at the same time since they were original and had the same mileage. I shot back with "just like algebra class when you're working on an equation, what you do to one side you do to the other side". He said that was a smart and good analogy! Jeremi quickly found out by FEEL which bearing was bad - I didn't tell him and he was right!

Here are a few pics in sequence, taken with my Canon digital SLR. Jeremi works quickly and accurately, he really knows these cars and has a passion for them. I'm glad for that. Tim's "White Lightning" was there, and he arrived to pick it up. It's a very nice LSC, strong and loud! You can see Jeremi hard at work, plus a shot of the underside.

In these shots you can see the new Timken 513092 wheel bearings on, plus Jeremi inspecting and sanding down my rotors. Normal wear with plenty of life still left in them, as well as the pads.

Last set of shots, Tim is picking up the White Lightning. I would love to convert my LSC into something like this! After Tim left Jeremi and I grabbed a quick bite of lunch. He drove my car to see how the new wheel bearings are. Smooth as silk! Thanks again Jeremi! I'm always ready for more work on my Mark!

Soon I hope!

Notice that he also can talk on the phone at the same time he is working on cars, another admirable trait he has.

Yes, he was on the phone with a relative, something about an alternator and battery. I'm fluent in Spanish not Polish, so those were the only similar words I caught! He never missed a beat!

Yeah Doug, that's his portable (removable) lift.

"Ya hear that right there....that's brute power!" As he thumbs the throttle cable. :D

I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses the heck out of Anti-seize.

Geez guys, stop fooling people into thinking I might be a nice guy or something. :)

Actually, I was showing Tim how quiet the timing chains were compared to the old setup ;)

I only use it there as the OEM hubs use to come with anti-seize already applied from the factory.
I hate that stuff with passion. Cad plating and rust free cars for me ;)

Not sure honestly :) other than that it's a full 2.5 Cat-back system with two x-pipes, and matching mufflers. This car will go under construction soon, so look out for a full write up in General Tech.

Gotcha, that's what I heard from you about the exhaust! It does look great though!

Just so everyone knows - I already called the wheels and tires from Jeremi's black LSC! That's if he decides to put the original wheels and tires back on it.

I look forward to another "under construction" series. However this one will hit real close to home as mine is a black/black 1996 LSC.
Dibs on the exhaust system?
